Deidre Stoken McClurg

Deidre Stoken McClurg founded Stoken Asset Management, LLC (“SAM”) in 2013 to combine her passion for investing with her desire to help clients meet their financial goals. Her determination to understand the forces behind global economic trends began nearly two decades ago as an intern on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Her first experience trading came shortly thereafter when she invested in a seat on the Chicago Board of Trade (now part of the CME Group) in 2001. As her investment grew, Deidre was able to sell off shares to create an investment portfolio which drove her to research all aspects of portfolio management theory, both academic and applied. From this foundation, Deidre formulated a proprietary model-driven investment methodology called Stoken Tactical Adaptive which she uses today to manage her clients’ assets. As an RIA, Deidre can accomplish her goals of acting as a fiduciary to clients while also investing directly alongside them.

Deidre brings over 20 years of professional experience in the financial industry. Prior to launching Stoken Asset Management, she worked as a senior consultant and trader for Strategic Capital Management, a managed futures firm offering systematic exposure to a diversified universe of global futures markets to private and institutional investors. Prior to that, Deidre was a relationship manager for JPMorgan Private Bank, where she marketed and sold products and services to investment bank and hedge fund principals with assets above $25 million. Prior to JPMorgan Private Bank, Deidre worked for William O’Neil & Co., founder of Investor’s Business Daily, as a stock market research analyst.

Deidre received her BA from the University of Southern California and her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She is a CPA, CFP® and holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 license. Deidre resides in Chicago with her husband and their two daughters.
